VIDAUBAN (FRA) – Dressage rider Laurens van Lieren, from Schore, was third with the Dutch team in the first Nations Cup Competition of the season. In the French Vidauban the Dutch team, which alongside van Lieren included his girlfriend Lynne Maas and Dominique Fillion, finished behind Germany and France.
Two performances
In the Nations Cup Competition three riders per country compete. They all ride a Grand Prix and a Grand Prix Special. Van Lieren scored 68.600% with Ulysses la Haya in the Grand Prix. In the Grand Prix Special the pair scored 67.137%. In total The Netherlands scored 412.700 points. That was almost eight points less than the winner Germany.
